Privacy notice — staff training
Who is responsible?
Your employer decides on your training and is responsible for your data. Hospitality Green Academy (HGA) provides the platform and processes the data on its behalf.
What data?
Your name, department, job title, start date, language, progress, quiz answers, scores, certificates, your supervisor’s practice check, and your optional feedback on modules.
National ID number
Only if your employer claims a training refund from the HRDC: they enter your number themselves from your staff file. You never type it on the platform. Only the owner or HR see it (never supervisors); it is erased when you leave the establishment.
Why?
To manage your training, issue your certificates and give your employer evidence of training (eco-label audits, training-grant files).
Who can see it?
The managers of your establishment and the HGA team. A certificate can be checked by anyone who has its number (name, module, date, score).
How long?
While you work at the establishment, then as long as needed as training evidence. Your employer can then anonymise your name.
Your rights
You can ask your employer or HGA to access, correct or erase your data. You can also contact the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
Security
No password to remember: keep your personal code to yourself. Data is hosted by a secure cloud provider.
